Happy Thanksgiving, y’all

You’re vegetarian or the chicken is? Free range chickens eat bugs and factory chicken feed has bugs in it. Either way, have another glass of wine.

After I posted, I started to wonder if I'd gone sentimental.

Holidays tend to send me back in time to my boyhood.

Precious Memories.

Oh, yes. Laugh In!

I don't remember the name of the encyclopedias, but I think the covers were a cream color with a red band. It was off-brand knowledge. They certainly weren't Encyclopedia Britannica, which was the gold standard for encyclopedias, so revered they were prizes on game shows.

Still, having encyclopedias in the home was a mark of good breeding. Ours were proudly displayed in the "company" living room, in which my sister and I were not allowed to play, along with my mother's prized possession - a cabinet style stereo record player.

Thanks Viking2002. Ping to all lists, and maybe then some. And I'll second your sentiments:
Just throwing this out to a few old favorites who have put up with my quirks and guff over the years.....LOL!
Every day is a gift, and it comes with no receipt. I'm just happy it arrives on time, every time.

The fact the TV dinner was stamped with a price gun at 99 cents is a double wammy blast from the past.

I just spent the last 30 minutes making the sage-cranberry-walnut stuffing, prepping the bird, stuffing it, and heating the oven. Just as I opened the oven door to put it in........there sat the pan of sauteed onion and celery my wife prepped, untouched on the stove.

I just had to unstuff the bird, do a remix of the stuffing - properly, this time - then restuff it before I put it in. I'm glad the ham doesn't need stuffed. 🤣

I made the lemon pie yesterday and the bird is in the oven roasting away. Just had a Scotch and a cigar. Life is good.

Tough call if I base it only on the food. Usually the weather is better at T-giving.
