Despite flashing elite arm strength and fluidity in the pocket during his public workout last week, Colin Kaepernick has reportedly received "zero" interest from NFL teams.
Zero. Absolutely zero. The workout last week did absolutely nothing to enhance the chances that Colin Kaepernick is going to wind up with another team," ESPN's Adam Schefter said Sunday on SportsCenter. "There hasnt been a team that has requested a workout. There hasnt been a team that has requested a visit. There hasnt been a team that has expressed interest in signing him. So, despite the fact that one week ago we saw Colin Kaepernick work out at the high school down in the Atlanta area, it has not translated into any results, and though the league wanted to try to help out, at least said it was trying to help out, nothings come of it. Colin Kaepernicks wait continues and it looks like its going to be continuing for a very, very, very long time.
Kaepernick worked out in front of eight NFL teams last weekend in Atlanta, backing out of a league-scheduled event in favor of one of his own. The workout was streamed and made available to media after Kaepernick and the NFL could not come to terms on details of a tryout that was scheduled for the Atlanta Falcons' facility.
"I've been ready for three years," Kaepernick said after the workout, per Vaughn McClure of ESPN. "I've been denied for three years. We all know why I came out here. [I] showed it today in front of everybody. We have nothing to hide. So we're waiting for the 32 owners, 32 teams, [Commissioner] Roger Goodell, all of them stop running. Stop running from the truth. Stop running from the people.
"We're out here. We're ready to play. We're ready to go anywhere. My agent, Jeff Nalley, is ready to talk [to] any team. I'll interview with any team at any time. I've been ready."
Kaepernick last played for the San Francisco 49ers during the 2016 season. He became a national lightning rod for kneeling during the national anthem as an act of protest against racial discrimination and police brutality. Earlier this year, Kaepernick, Panthers safety Eric Reid and the NFL came to a settlement on a lawsuit filed by the players claiming the league colluded against them because of their protests.
The initial Kaepernick workout came at the behest of the NFL, rather than individual teams, so it was hard to determine the likelihood of it garnering interest. There was likely additional fallout when Kaepernick pulled out of the NFL workout for one of his own, given only eight teams made the trip; there were at least 25 scheduled for the NFL tryout.
Kaepernick threw for 2,241 yards and 16 touchdowns for the 49ers in 2016 and has thrown for 72 touchdowns against 30 interceptions as an NFL quarterback. He has a 28-30 record as a starter.
Toby sad
Orange man bad
yup yup derp
Note to Kaepernick:
Do not sue the people who control you future employment.
Sincerely,

I think European Football League is dead................
IOW...there’s another $20 million discrimination lawsuit in the works.
He can’t be THAT stupid!.....................
If he plays out of the country then he won’t get to kneel for our anthem. That’s a non-starter for SJW super-activist Kap.
It worked the first time.
CFL teams are required to set aside most of their roster for Canadians. Kaepernick would be considered an “import” player. And likely no team would waste one of their limited import tags on a guy who might not even crack the starting lineup.
He can kneel for their anthem.
See how well that plays out................
Exactly that. It was a total PR stunt to try and keep himself relevant.
The world has moved on from the Colin Kaepernick clown show and he knows this. He is just unwilling to accept it.
Locker room poison.
Ironically, the XFL is getting ready to start in 2020. Usually a new league means a 2nd (or last) chance for players like Colin, but in this case, Vince McMahon has laid down the law - no kneeling, no politics. So instead of a possible second chance, another door closes.
Yeah, and I think SFO is actually having a good season this year without him.
Colin who?
He was offered a contract with AAF and turned it down.
Course AAF didn’t last too long...
“He had one decent year then went into a decline. Now 3 years out of the game.
Any chances he has would be in the CFL or Europe.’
Kaepernick has burned a lot of bridges. Before the kneeling he was seen as an a$$hole by the 49ers. He was walking around listening to beats headphones around the complex refusing to speak to anyone after losses. It got to the point coaches were calling him out. Hes called other players f*cking n*ggers while playing, which everyone knows about, making him look hypocritical. He was known to not even look at game plans like Jamarcus Russell.
Now lets talk about his play. He cant scan the left side of the field. He can only throw and run going to the right, everyone knows that. His touch and timing passes are really bad. Hes got a cannon for an arm and can run. But he doesnt fit most NFL offenses. Thats why hes not back in San Francisco. Hes a zone read quarterback, and no one wants a pure zone read guy any more. He might be able to develop into a different type of system but no one wants to pay him $10 million a year to do that. Also, he would create such a distraction with his off the field activities that, in the judgment of those teams, he is not worth the trouble or the money or gamble.
Lets look at his injuries. Since I dont want to fill up a page on this, lets just sum it up and say hes physically torn up, particularly his throwing shoulder.
So youve got a guy who wants starter money even if hes not a starter, who cant stay healthy, is already torn up, who cant scan half the field and cant throw touch passes. Hes also a huge a$$hole to teammates and opposing players. Who wants or needs him?
rwood
RG3 is a backup QB with, I believe, Baltimore.
Think he did some mop up duty recently for the Ravens.
He was average QB 3 years ago when he was let go... I highly doubt his abilities have improved given he hasn’t played a game in years....
Who wants the drama circus this arse clown is going to bring to your organization?
The NFL is only starting to recover from the damage this moron caused them, they were fools to even talk to this buffoon again, let alone treat him like any sort of serious recruit.
100% correct.
He'll get old and bitter: his just reward for his behavior.
