Near the end of his career, Freud expressed regret at not having delved more into the occult.

As for his thinking that belief in God is wish fulfilment, Freud apparently didn’t catch the fact that his own rejection of God was precisely a form of wish fulfilment.

Another interesting difference was in their concepts of libido. Jung was often critical of Freud's tendency to attribute so much to the simple, biological sexual drive. Jung saw libido as a larger 'energy' encompassing much more.

Freud has always seemed to me (as uneducated as I am) to be much more materialistically oriented than Jung. Jung wanted to go beyond the material and explore every possible influence that has made us Human as opposed to merely Animal.
