An attorney for a Navy SEAL convicted of posing with a dead Islamic State militant contended Wednesday that Navy leaders are trying to remove him from the elite force in retaliation for President Donald Trumps decision last week to restore his rank.
Rear Adm. Collin Green made his intentions clear at a staff meeting Monday that he wants to remove Special Warfare Operations Chief Edward Gallaghers Trident pin, which designates him as a SEAL, attorney Timothy Parlatore said. Green is the Naval Special Warfare commander.
What Im hearing is that the rear admiral said very disparaging comments about the president and stated his disagreement with the presidents actions and said therefore I want to move forward in removing his Trident, Parlatore said.
Parlatore filed an inspector generals complaint Tuesday accusing Green of insubordination for defying Trump. He said Green should be fired and court-martialed.

How many generals did Obama retire?
How many times did Democrat Senators rush to a camera to attack him? As much as this guy should be cashiered President Trump can’t afford a fight with the military right now.
See Post #20
I wonder how Lt. Col. Vindman got his ribbons? Dems are putting their liberals in the military and they seem too be putting many of them into politics as well.
It’s more ticket punching military careerists attaching themselves to Democrat policies. There’s no downside for that since the GOP never purges them.
If they remove the Chief’s SEAL status, can Trump give it back to him?
Don't know, but I recall reading that he was getting rid of anyone who was worth a sh*t and replacing them with brain dead sycophants that thought he was great.
We need to get all these weirdos rooted out of the military.
We have many more admirals than we have ships. Im sure we could do without this one.
Marine 1985-1989. Some guys in my battalion did this exact thing in 89. Even put a cigarette in his mouth. Nobody said a word.

if it is true that the Admiral “made very disparaging comments about the president” in a staff meeting, that is a major problem for which he should be relieved of command.
You are correct and this is, or was, explained in considerable detail by a JAG officer during the first week after entering the service.
Seems Admiral Green would be a prime candidate for a UCMJ Article 88 court-marshal.
UCMJ Article 88: Contempt Toward Officials. Any commissioned officer who uses contemptuous words against the President, the Vice President, Congress, the Secretary of Defense, the Secretary of a military department, the Secretary of Homeland Security, or the Governor or legislature of any State, Commonwealth, or possession in which he is on duty or present shall be punished as a court-martial may direct.
I second that!! FIRE this a hole!!!
Seaman.
At this point in Gallagher's career, what is the point other than to throw a stink bomb at the president?
Gallagher's pardon should have been a happy end to these years long incarceration but yet now a Butt Admiral want's to inject himself into Gallagher's life and strip him of his Trident?
Why didn't he do it years before while Gallagher was in prison? This stinks to high heaven and makes me wonder who in the government is behind this travesty of justice.......
"A fight with the military?" Chief Gallagher isn't military?
Admirals are a dime a dozen. Can his ass.
Always thought that was a big mistake and cost us victory.
Has anyone checked into that Vindman actually received all those ribbons? I mean, can’t you order those/buy them online?
Just a thought as he would not be the first person to wear a medal or a ribbon not earned.
Wearing a medal or ribbon not earned is a severe no no. I know an admiral that killed himself over it. I forget his name...
Jeremy Boorda.
This is fake news.
A staff review is in order for Gallagher. There still is some question of his suitability for any particular assignment that needs to be resolved, regardless of his pardon.
