I think it is perfectly legitimate for the Admiral commanding the SEALs to remove a sailor from the teams if he doesn't have confidence in his judgment.

At this point in Gallagher's career, what is the point other than to throw a stink bomb at the president?

Gallagher's pardon should have been a happy end to these years long incarceration but yet now a Butt Admiral want's to inject himself into Gallagher's life and strip him of his Trident?

Why didn't he do it years before while Gallagher was in prison? This stinks to high heaven and makes me wonder who in the government is behind this travesty of justice.......

My point is that it is within the prerogative of the commander to decide who is and who is not assigned to a team. I don't think that means he loses his Trident -- just that he's not assigned to a team. Who gets assigned to teams must be within the discretion of the commander.

If we make that within the discretion of the President, then we're going to get Demi Moore in the teams when we get a female President. Gotta take the good with the bad.
