Must be a slow new day. That several minutes I can’t get back, watching a dog play with a rat. My dog would have ate him in a second. Hounds are crazy like that.

When the rat wears itself out and the dog can get its jaws over the rat’s rib cage without risk of being bitten, it will administer the fatal crushing bite. The rat would be better off using its remaining energy getting someplace the dog can’t go.
