I greatly agree about thee social contract.
I think one of the destructive tragedies of our era is that youth are not reared with hardly the least bit of understanding of social contract at all.
Their mentality seems to be wholesale entitlement & “gimme, gimme, gimme.”
The concept that “there is no free lunch” seems to be absent from their awareness.
I don’t see how any culture can survive without a solid understanding *and* application of a social contract.
And, the social contract has to have a high degree of at least reciprocity and even fairness. imho.
Thanks for your wise words.

This is so embarrassing - the "anonymous whistleblower's" attorneys and other handlers can read questions the republicans would like to ask and they can also write the best, most manipulative responses they can come up with. That's not how it's worded, but this is an information war and these are their weapons. Hidden, compromised accusers, passing notes so they have time to consider and revise strategies to provide an answer - what a farce!
This is like being accused of murder by someone you don't know, the trial will be held in private and they'll let you know if they decided you killed someone. In the meantime, you may write a question for your accuser (e.g., "Why are you lying about me?") and they and their handlers will decide what should be said, and Adam Schiff will be in charge of deciding if you can ask at all, or if they will respond. *smh*

I fell in love with Bob Dylan when my much older sister gave me his first album, I went to hear him at the Newport Folk Festival, before he was electric. Right after he electrified, right in the beginning, I went up to Providence and heard him. I grew up as a young adolescent with Pete Seeger records etc in the house. Too bad he was a commie! Dylan is not really a liberal at all, he’s an interesting fellow.

Otherwise I agree about her votes in Congress.

Fair enough LJ yet you guys tend to ascribe some new version of her that has no evidence to support that yet-to-be-seen future.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I agree with everything else you said except the above. I could never, ever support her unless she changes her views radically. It would be nice if she does of course, but I have no clue if she will. Jus’ speculatin’!
I just don’t know the future; the fact that TG will be out of Congress and obviously not in the WH, may give her some time off to wake up. If not, at least she won’t be voting in Congress!
Agreed. Bought his documentary. Saw him at Orchestra Hall in Chicago. He had the audience in his hand. He moved his finger just a small amount and a dead hush descended. Segovia, on the other hand, was the most boring experience I can remember. Never saw a concert where I spent the time imagining the musician counting his money instead of loving to perform. Oh, also saw Judy Collins in a coffee house.
