Satan is thrilled that he was able to get Christians to worship him at least one day out of the year.
I picked up two books at Barnes and Nobel a few weeks ago. 101 Horror stories and 101 ghost stories. For old British spook tales they are good. A few typos so watch for them.
But if I really want to get a scare, POE and H.P. Lovecraft are the ones.
I got cussed out back in 1961 when I challenged a girl in High School, who made fun of me reading, to read the first story in the Lovecraft book I had. THE RATS IN THE WALLS.
She said she could not sleep all weekend because of that story!
Dreams in the Witch House is also a good one!
Horror story: Hillary and Bill are coming to stay with you this weekend.
The day Trump was inaugurated I spent the night in the original Tombstone Az, bordello, billed now as a bed & breakfast, a stones throw from the OK coral.
Stayed there for the location, not looking for any kind of experience or believing I would have/experience one.
Long story short, 1:30 in the morning jumped into my clothes and grabbed my backpack on the way out. There was definitely something there and unexplainable that spooked the bejesus out of me enough to forfeit the cost spent and not stay.
my sisters brother in law died. The evening of the funeral his widow was giving the youngest a bath. The toddler stared off over her head, and said “bye bye, Daddy! Bye bye”. Thats pretty weird stuff.

The most supernatural experience I ever had was when my wife was pregnant. She left our home for a check-up and to be told what sexy thew baby was going to be. She asked if I wanted to know otherwise she would not come home and announce it. I said, let me think about it and I will let you know when you get back.
After my wife left I was sitting on the couch in the living room, thinking about it and things. Suddenly I felt a poke, more like a quick press in the center of my chest and the word, in my own inner voice, in my mind, said “girl”. Or more accurately I got the thought “girl”.
I felt immediately that I was communicated to from “the other side”. Either from my deceased father or sister. Most likely my sister.
My wife came home all happy and beaming and asked if I wanted to know the sex of the baby.
I told her it’s a girl and she asked surprised how did I know...
Ive always believed in the afterlife, never needed incidents like this to convince me of it.
For some good ghost stories I came across this website where people in the medical field relate their strange occurrences and encounters with the spiritual realm while working.
About eight years ago, our beloved schnauzer/poodle mix dog died of a heart attack in his crate. A few nights later, I woke up during the night and saw him standing at the bedroom door, only he was all white, instead of the grey mix color. I called out his name, and he walked over to the side of the bed. I reached out my hand to pet him, and he vanished.
Like a lot of my immediate family members, I’ve had psychic experiences from an early age-some are not scary, some are...
The best dog I’ve ever had-a female Siberian Husky-died in her sleep more than 3 year ago at the age of 17-my compadre and employer helped me bury her under the big oak tree she liked to sit under while I worked in the garden, near the house. He parks his site trailer near that tree-I’ve seen her sitting there several times, even had her walk toward me, vanishing before she gets there, and I’m used to that.
But one day last Winter my compadre came by when I was on a jobsite to get a set of plans he had stored in his trailer and saw my dog sitting under the tree-he said the hair on the back of his neck stood up and he was just frozen there as she walked toward him and vanished on the way. He still won’t get anything out of that trailer or tow it to a work site if I’m not here to help him with that...
In 2003, I went to work for my best friend who owned a very small engineering and construction firm-On days I was on jobsites, I had the office phone forwarded to my mobile phone so I could answer it, but on the days I was not on-site, I managed his office, which was in a converted small 1940’s era house in a semi-rural area outside the city. The last owner of the house had died there, and we were told he had been temperamental and a hermit who seldom left the area, and was haunting the place.
I was a believer the 1st time I came in at 7:30 AM to open the office, saw a light in XXX’s office-and headed back there to ask him about an invoice-saw a flash of a man in jeans and boots go around the corner and followed, calling my friend’s name-there was no one in his office, but I smelled cigar smoke-my friend did not smoke cigars-and the room was really cold-I got out of there as fast as I could...
Another time when I was at the office on the phone ordering materials for a job, it got cold all of a sudden and all the binders of materials info and engineering manuals kept on two shelves above my desk started falling on the desk and the floor for no reason-that totally freaked me out-when I told my friend, he said he was sure that the “guy” there meant no harm-I said well maybe so, but you didn’t see all those binders and books fall down-nothing like that ever happened again, but there were always little things like moved papers, computer turned on when no one was there, etc-2 years later he moved the office to a site trailer he bought, and I was very happy to work there...
Once upon a time there was a nation that cherished individual freedom and knew right from wrong, according to the ultimate Creator of humankind. But then, some humans wanted their whims and vices to be the boss instead of God's law and His virtues. And two centuries of brilliance all went to sh*t in two decades. The end.
