A former Boston College student has been charged with involuntary manslaughter for allegedly driving her boyfriend to jump to his death from a parking garage, 90 before before he was set to graduate.
Suffolk District Attorney Rachael Rollins held a press conference on Monday to announce the indictment of 21-year-old Inyoung You in connection to the death of Alexander Urtula, 22.
Both were students at Boston College at the time Urtula's death on May 20. You later dropped out of the university. You is currently in her native South Korea. Rollins said she is cautiously optimistic that the woman would voluntarily return to Massachusetts to face the charger. If she fails to do so, prosecutors will seek her extradition. During the news conference, Rollins said that Urtula's family were in town to see him graduate from Boston College, where he was a biology major.

Instead of taking part in the commencement ceremony, Urtula went to the Renaissance parking garage in Roxbury and leaped to his death.
Rollins said his girlfriend of 18 months, You, had been tracking his movements that morning and was in the garage at the time of his suicide.
A search of Urtula's cellphone has revealed that You was 'physically, verbally and psychologically abusive' during their relationship, according to the district attorney.
Rollins said the abuse became 'more powerful' in the days and hours leading up to Urtula's death.

Well, they convicted Charlie Manson of murder and he never actually killed anybody either.
[[Oh you is, is you? And where is we?]]
Down by the river ‘We Pee Freely’ of course
Typical horrible millennial grammar. It should be "You are currently in South Korea.
jk
That made me laugh.
Whos InYoung?
You.
Me?
No, You.
Wasnt Alex InYoung?
Yes, in You.
Me?
No, You...
The young man was certainly somewhat naive and emotional, perhaps sheltered as a child, and he then met a woman who was strong, aggressive, manipulative and IMHO probably quite sexualized. Remember too, women mature faster than men. For the whole thing, it was likely all his first experience.
He probably imagined he was “in love.” Ever had your heart broken as a young man? I am not so quick to judge him.
Wee To Low.
Try Sum Ting Wong.
Many times, and I probably moped around like a lost puppy the first time. I would not have done so had she started berating me. However, when she broke my heart, I made no attempt to contact her. After about 3 months she called me and wanted to get back together. We went together for years after that. In the end it didn't work out. It builds character and strength.
Talk to Hillary about that...
I agree. Most people survive, and grow from it. But there are always the outliers where bad people, bad events and the dark stars all align to produce a very bad result.
It is well known in the Bay Area: “NEVER, EVER cross a woman from South Korea!”
You will discover a new level of crazy.
This would cause puzzled and funny responses from person addressed.
In the end, it turned out that the character was a fraud, only pretending to be from Eastern Europe to increase his chances of getting a foundation grant from a wealthy San Francisco doofus played by Austin Pendleton.
The Hugh Simon character was played by the late, great Kenneth Mars.
You urged Urtula to take his own life in hundreds of texts
Sounds to me that she was threatening to take her own life, as well, as asking him to take his. Now in reality there is scant evidence presented here to know exactly how this all went down, but after 100s of texts urging for you to take your life should have made him wonder if she was even worth it. Hey, he apparently thought so and did as she urged.
When he complies, it's all on him at that point. If you ask me, they both had mental issues.
In my eyes, and I am not asking anyone to see this as I do, requesting is not a crime unless you request a 3rd party to kill a 2nd party at your behest. Then the charge should legitimately be 1st degree murder if the killing has taken place, or conspiracy to commit murder if it hasn't yet taken place.
I remember her as the forehead girl.
One of my favorite comedies, what with the igneous rocks and all. BS and Ryan O’Neil were so good. Of course that was before BS went off the deep end. Kenneth Mars was exceptional, awesome flick, so funny.
"Who is this person?"
"I haven't the vaguest idea. She was behind a rock in the drug store."
I agree with you.
Does the name James Comey ring a bell?
