Morning kitteh sez “Time a ge’ UP!”
Good morning.
I slept in until 0330. My bad. But no cat to wake me. Even the birds will stay quiet until I take the cover off the cage. Camilla is settling in quite well, now that she’s in with Gonzo.
The week was more stressful than I thought when it was happening, or I wouldn’t have slept so long.
My Avon lady called last night. First she sent me a text to ask if I was awake (just barely) then called and said, “I decided, ‘what the heck’ since you’re awake!” After a few minutes of talk about what’s been going on and how it affected us (she said she had wanted more time with her kids!) and actually called it a quarantine, which it is. Anyway, sweet girl, she offered to shop for me if I didn’t feel like going during the “senior hours” which Walmart has finally started. So I told her to call me when she next goes and if there is something I want or need, I will ask her. Like ice cream in individual cups!
Anyway, a day of movie-watching awaits.
Which reminds me: When I turned on the TV this morning (always background noise) there, staring at me from a time before Murdoch Mysteries, was a very young, very cute, Yannick Bisson!! THAT got my heart started, for sure! :o])
And I just started the day with Jake. Some people have all the luck!
(Lovely young man, just lovely.)
I might watch a TV program today. Maybe something involving travel. I really need to work on the potholders for Tom the Son!
Speaking of Tom the Son, he’s been sort of on the outs with his grandmother for a few years, due to her telling him in no uncertain terms that she expected him to have graduated from high school a long time ago, but it’s really my fault for having favored him, etc. (Control freak over 80 ...)
Anyway, she emailed yesterday to say that, if his additional roommate hadn’t turned up to pay a cut of the rent yet (he did), she would make a cash contribution to help Tom and Tucker keep a roof over their heads until the economy picks up again.
