This weeks Fun Fact comes courtesy of Rep. Adam Schiff, who shared in his New Yorker profile that not only is he a movie buff (and often quotes The Big Lebowski), but also he writes screenplays on the side.
There seemed to be more than a tinge of regret in the California congressmans voice when he recalled the story of his first screenplay, a pre-Holocaust story called Remnant.
I had an agent at William Morris tell me it was good but no one would want to see it too depressing, he explained. Then Schindlers List came out, and I was, like, Come on!
He continued on. He wrote the next one while a prosector, a murder-mystery called Minotaur, which he said was almost accepted by Hollywood standards. But, he has high hopes for his third.
Its a spy drama, he said. That one is a work in progress.
So now he admits he writes fiction. And his current ‘spy drama’ is his fiction playing out against real lives.
He needs to be locked behind doors, if not a prison, then a mental ward.
Ahh..so the whistleblower report was the first draft of his spy novel
He writes screenplays on this and that.
His inability to tell the difference between fiction and reality is indicative of a deep psychosis.
Where are the men in white coats when we need them?

Actually it’s not surprising that Schiffty is a lying self aggrandizing POS in the same vein as Slow Joe.
Nicely done. Wish I had thought of that.
