Gas prices in Southern California continued to soar following the Sept. 15 drone attacks on oil facilities in Saudi Arabia.

The average price of gas in Los Angeles jumped three cents Wednesday to $3.85 per gallon and was expected to pass the $4 mark in the next few days, according to Gas Buddy senior petroleum analyst Patrick DeHaan.

Gas prices could be on their way to $4.15 and $4.30 per gal in the next 10 to 14 days, DeHaan reported.

Hubby had a refinery in his station boundaries that he used to inspect. He was a Captain for our county fire department. He said he used to watch all brands of trucks, Mobil, Chevron, etc., pull thru to fill up and then the refinery would just add whatever additives the brand called for.

Reading between the lines, the MSM in California is getting REALLY concerned about how big a dent Trump is going to put in the CA popular vote next November.

Excuse me here, but how will refining more gallons of gas costing ‘fornians $4.19+ per gallon be beneficial?

Calif probably raised their taxes again on gasoline to take advantage of the Saudi’s ‘gift’.

I think we all know that this tax doesn’t reduce global warming, any more than you reduce global warming if you buy carbon credits with Al Gore.

I have grass and a few trees on my property. Let me know how I can get some of those carbon credits. I'll stop mowing the lawn if the price is right.

There isn’t enough local refining capacity. If there were more, supply and demand would be more in the purchasers favor. Economics 101.

I keep hearing that Bolshevik from Californicators (correct definition is people who hate California so much their brains explode), but the truth of the matter is that, illegals who cannot be counted as Californians, along with other shady illegal vote stuffing used by democraps are what set this up in California.

And now for some fun, if you think California is the only or last state this bullshit will happen to you all better wake up! For all of the good in Texas it is edging toward the brink of democrat domination through illegals, Texas has always been the number two choice of illegals behind California but has more and more been moving to number one.

I don't think there is a single state of the union that does not have a growing illegal population and states like Oregon and Washington are jacked up even without them. No don't go blaming California, there simply are not enough people in the state to keep effing it up while relocating a significantly large enough number to other states to override their native conservatives unless the states were already heading liberal without them.

Yes California is F'ed up and those of us that can't leave, for whatever reason have to try and survive, but I recommend that instead of being Californicators people keep an eye on their own states and try to win the battle we have for now lost.

Oh and bare in mind that the lack of refining capacity impacts all states not just Califrornia. Or are you naive enough to believe that Big oil won't screw everyone in the A$$ with any opportunity to pack in the profits?

...$4.18 for premium

Don't complain about the "premium" price for high octane fuel … you voluntarily bought a car with a high compression engine.

SA before the bombings produced 5% of the world’s fuel. Half was bombed so half is still operating. So, the world is out 2.5%. No way should this make so much as a plip in the price at the pump. CA is raising prices just because they can.

#8 California has its own state gas tax, plus a global warming tax on every gallon, plus adds sales tax on gasoline sales.

Also known as the state pension tax.
