I grew up ten, and after a move, five miles south of the Houston Ship Channel, which, for many miles, is lined with refineries and petrochemical plants.

Explosions and fires were not uncommon, maybe a couple per year. We soon learned to ID the plant with the problem by its emergency siren/whistle -- because each plant had a unique signal or fire alarm.

The loudest explosion I remember was when we lived ten miles away from the site at the Ethyl Corporation -- just upstream from the Shell refinery / chemical plant. An empty (except for gasoline fumes) barge exploded one night, and the shock wave rattled us in our beds -- ten miles away. IIRC, a welder cut into the fume-filled barge with a cutting torch... :-(

Most of the plant fires were confined to a single processing unit or storage tank; scary, smoky, (and visible from five miles away aross the coastal prairie) but not massive or with dozens of casualties...

The JP Morgan bust is epic level! That shit kept the price of gold from breaking out during the era of the 08 meltdown! If they’re going after it in a serious racketeering fashion it’s going to reel in multiple huge banks and major gold producers! Yesterday I watched 20 minutes of the New Mexico rally — enough time to hear our President get into the swing of his talk.  And I tell you what: the man never fails to fill my heart with pride and good cheer.

He naturally blends all the human emotions — anger, love, humor, and determination — in a way not seen in other men or women.

And just as his speech inspires We Patriots to keep the Faith, I'll bet our President's soul is also restored — from the exhaustion of his toil and suffering — by the devotion of his loyal followers.  Waiting countless hours in line to hear and see him at a rally is how countless thousands honor and pay their thanks to this magnificent man on his mission from God.

As for the meme craft, I think it's a function of spending a few years playing around in GIMP and Excel.  That's what gives you the confidence to go down rabbit holes.

The secret is to scan hundreds or thousands of choices on Google Images, then have the experience to guess which images will combine well on your electronic canvas.

I look for one powerful image to build upon.  After that, it's simply a matter of giving your mind permission to roam, to experiment, and to chuckle to yourself when you find a combination that works.

How many "Never that Great" portraits did Leonardo Da Vinci paint of the Andrew Cuomos and Fredo Cuomos of his day?  How many of his canvases did he trash, paint over, or sell for pennies on the dollar at a flea market?

The Works of Art that have survived the centuries are a select few out of hundreds the Great Masters produced.
