DOKKEN guitar legend George Lynch has slammed President Donald Trump, calling the billionaire real estate mogul an "idiotic monster" and an "egotistical, self-aggrandizing, complete piece of shit" who "doesn't know anything."
The iconic musician, who has previously called himself a "very progressive person" and "liberal in [his] politics," made his latest comments during an interview with Australia's "Scars And Guitars" podcast.
Speaking about the state of American politics, Lynch said (hear audio below): "I'm honestly just so fatigued, and most of the people that I surround myself with that are political animals are equally fatigued. We're living through the American nightmare, and I hope it doesn't become a fascist nightmare. But for the moment, hopefully we can undo the damage at some point.

The 80s was a little before my time as far as music. My older brother listened to Crue, Pantera, Metallica, and a bunch of others and being exposed to it when I was real little, I grew up listening to it and still do. Never heard of dokken until today so they must be highly forgettable
I only learned that about Lynch maybe a couple weeks ago when a coworker told me about it. He actually dodged a bullet there, since Ozzy and Sharon would have just screwed him over like they did Jake E. Lee who actually got the gig. And IMO Jake is a better guitarist and the best one Ozzy ever had. As far as Dokken goes, some of their music is good but not timeless. Skid Row is the gold standard of hair metal bands in my estimation.
I bet one out of a thousand knows who this jerk is, and that is being generous. He is a non-entity whose opinion is irrelevant.

His opinion IS relevant when it comes to understanding why someone who's livelihood is based on popularity would say anything that potentially hurts his income. This is a great case study in TDS and leftist lunacy.
It is also a case study insofar as many people feel compelled to comment on a post about a guy of whom they've never heard....getting us to 88 posts.
I saw Dokken open for Judas Priest in the 80s. He was no match for Glenn Tipton and KK Downing.
Not familiar with him. He, like many ‘celebrities’ thinks the more profanity he uses, the more convincing he will become.
Lynch looks somewhat like Bryan Ferry (from Roxy Music) but expresses himself like a character in that parody

Neither his playing nor comments qualify for consideration. He’s a third tier, C room guitar hack.
Is he involved in pedophilia and child trafficking? Those guilty of this seem to be the ones flipping out the most about POTUS. Watch who screams the loudest.

A complete nobody, actually, even from a music industry perspective. Scary to think that some would be interested in his political thoughts, much less feel the need to share them with others.
I was in a few hardrock/metal playing bands during my younger days - thought I was never in a hair band. You can count me in as one of those guitar slingers who turned into a middle-aged Trump voter. Most of the folks I met in this genre were definitely not snowflakes. Some of them might be liberal, but I would bet that most of us skewed toward the right.

I think it's the same situation here. Tommy Lee bashes Trump, then the guy from Slipknot bashes him more, then George Lynch (great guitarist but not selling out Madison Swuare Garden) goes full TDS...AND TRUMP FANS ARE PROBABLY HIS FANS. But his "friends" will think he's a closet MAGA guy if he doesn't lose it in an interview. What a way to live.
