A cadre of newly hired teachers will report to city schools this week following orientation sessions where they were given a book that includes an essay titled Dear White Teacher, The Post has learned.
But unlike the Department of Educations controversial implicit bias training which, among other lessons, tells teachers that racial equity requires favoring black students over whites the essays message is that white instructors should stop being afraid to discipline black students.

“white instructors should stop being afraid to discipline black students”
They should be afraid, considering the number of ferals in the school system.
Dear Black Teacher
“...Copies of the $24.95 paperback were included in some of the tote bags given to the 2,700 new teachers who attended two days of orientation last week ahead of Thursdays start of the 2019-20 school year.
Several readings take aim at traditional measures of learning, with titles including Time to Get Off the Testing Train, Beyond Test Scores and My Dirty Little Secret: I Dont Grade Student Papers.
There are also repeated attacks on charter schools which purportedly pose a fundamental threat to the hope of sustaining a multicultural democracy and sections that urge new teachers to get involved in their unions and join activist groups...”
If white teachers don’t like it, they can stop teaching.
There aren’t enough nonwhite teachers to keep the system running for a single day if the white teachers quit.
Im Asian. I think that this white and black thing has put blacks in dead end. You see, if one black learns, he or she will be accused under current political and cultural climate of acting whites. If he or she doesnt learn, the person is embraced by the crowd.
Literally they go against civilization
de Blasio had no doubt wanted it titled “Dear Cracka”
When NY City government goes bankrupt, this nonsense will end. It won’t be pretty though
The KKK used to work to keep Blacks down, but they couldn't find anything more effective at that than today's government schools.
Dear white teachers: Forget NYC public schools. The problems dont exist in private schools where parents have some skin in the game.

Remember sweet little Trayvon? His demise was a direct result of his school district (Broward Co, FL?) having a hands off of black kids policy. Burglary tools and jewelry was found in his backpack but the cops did nothing. The school did give him a few days of suspension and that’s why he was staying those few days with his father.
Broward Co, FL seems to have more than their fair share of problems. Can’t imagine why.

“The Gods of the Copybook Headings” can’t come soon enough...

You gotta bow down, Whitey!
Dear honkey
What politically-favored person or organization is making the profit off this?
What politically-favored person or organization is making the profit off this?
Thats a heck of a good question.

Thank you. I was inspired by the recent situation involving the (now former) Mayor of Baltimore.
It doesn’t surprise me that NY has similar problems to what I saw as a teacher in California. Every time I disciplined a student I documented exactly what the offense and punishment was, so that administrators could see that I had given the exact same punishment for the exact same offense, regardless of whether the student was a white male or a black female. Every minute I spent covering my posterior in this way was a minute that was NOT being spent on lesson planning, contacting parents, or other actual productive work. There was also that lovely moment when a black student of mine said her father was going to come to school and beat me up. Fortunately it turned out to be an empty threat.
I later taught at an after-school program run by a church. It was as different from the public school as night and day. The pay was lower, but the smaller class sizes and the greater freedom made it worth it. The church was located in a majority Asian neighborhood, which meant that parents did not make excuses for their children and there was actual discipline in the home.
I still work as a substitute from time to time at the public school system. But you could not pay me enough to return as a full-time public school teacher.
Heres a good place to start digging:
Dear White Teacher is among more than 50 essays in The New Teacher Book, a 324-page manual published by Rethinking Schools, a Milwaukee-based nonprofit.
