POTUS is going to Camp David? I’ve considered that Camp David has been used for some special purposes and Trump has rarely gone there. Very interesting!

Not arguing against the thoughts you raise, but it could be that since Mar-a-Lago is not an option this weekend that Camp David is the next option on the list. (Of course that doesn’t explain why he doesn’t go to Bedminster.)

But thinking about this makes me also think about the fact that POTUS frequently leaves the WH on weekends. I’m wondering if there is a more significant reason. Does he just not like the WH as well as his own properties? Or is there another factor involved?

I figure Camp David must be several layers down in quality compared to his resorts. Yet, the security must be easier or better.

Doesn’t he get more protection there from the people who are looking over his shoulder into his life? NJ might be more comfortable for him, but he’s still in a goldfish bowl. Finding you’ve been betrayed by the person who is always there and now will never be there has to take some adjustment. Even for him.
