Not arguing against the thoughts you raise, but it could be that since Mar-a-Lago is not an option this weekend that Camp David is the next option on the list. (Of course that doesn’t explain why he doesn’t go to Bedminster.)
But thinking about this makes me also think about the fact that POTUS frequently leaves the WH on weekends. I’m wondering if there is a more significant reason. Does he just not like the WH as well as his own properties? Or is there another factor involved?
I think he just likes to get out of the bubble that is DC - and, you’re right, Mar-a-Lago is out of the picture so Camp David does make sense in context of THE STORM ... now which storm, particularly + specifically, TBD ;)
