Elon Musk endorses Andrew Yang for President

2020 Democratic presidential candidate and tech entrepreneur Andrew Yang scored a major endorsement this weekend from fellow tech entrepreneur Elon Musk, the founder of PayPal who now leads SpaceX and Tesla.

“I support Yang,” Musk tweeted in response to another tweet commenting on a post from Yang urging voters to have an open mind.

Elon Musk ✔ @elonmusk I support Yang

Musk’s tweet was a welcome endorsement for Yang, who has struggled to garner support in the crowded field of candidates in the Democratic primary.

While he has qualified for the third set of Democratic debates to be held in Houston in September, which featured higher thresholds to participate than previous debates, Yang remains a long-shot candidate who has made providing a universal basic income the centerpiece proposal of his campaign.

Musk agrees with Yang’s signature policy. It features handing out a “Freedom Dividend” of $1,000 a month to every American over the age of 18. Musk told one Twitter user the policy was “obviously needed.”

Yang offers one of the most generous tax payer funded welfare packages with his guaranteed govt income, something Musk is accustomed to with his businesses.

Usually, business owners who derive significant fractions of their company’s business from the federal government tend to refrain from becoming involved in national politics, particularly at the presidential level.

Its a new generation of business owners, too cocky and conceited to appreciate that business dollars come from both sides of the political spectrum.

this is the way you inflate your way out of social security actually being useful to those who are on it. this will hurt anyone in the lower income bracket because all that would happen is rent would go up, price of food would go up , just about everything will go up. 1000 dollars has to be stolen from an actual income maker to pay for the program.

Hard to read this.

Is Musk trying to split the Democrat vote, and re-elect Trump?

I am not sure I would categorize him as a Fascist. He is definitely a socialist, redistributor of wealth not his own. I think Musk might see him as someone malleable to taking his redistribution policies to other levels.

I think you are reading something that’s not there. Musk is not a Trump supporter, he is a Musk supporter.
