The latest casting lineup for the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue may be its most diverse ever, including women of all shapes, sizes, ages and backgrounds.
The magazine is using Instagram to share the 17 finalist to make it into their #SISwimSearch this year, and the picks unveiled so far include plus-size models, women proudly displaying their stretch marks and cellulite, and even a 55-year-old rocking a string bikini.
Also in the group is Miss Universe runner-up Ariadna Gutierrez, a 37-year-old US Army veteran, and a dancer who suffers from alopecia and is completely bald.

My niece suffered from autoimmune alopecia. Completely bald when her wedding day came. Her sweet betrothed married her bald and all. She has mostly recovered though her hair is different texture and has receding hairline. She had beautiful dark hair previously. She took it all in stride and was not ashamed. I do not think this conditon is anything to make fun of so shame on some of you.
It’s making fun of SI for doing this, not making fun of people with the condition.

We got a new boss and who had alopecia, that is first all-hands meeting he came right out and said in case you’re wondering... I have... And explained it, and moved forward with his expectations.
That’s how you deal with something like that. There was a guy in high school who had it and I don’t think anybody knew maybe a few close friends of his but alopecia dosen’t diminish your performance in any way, he was a wrestler and a pretty good one... he was just hairless.
Friend of my sister had it, and she actually glorified in the fact that you never had to shave and had a variety of wigs. She did just fine with it and considered it kind of a gift.
