I'm Gonna Send Your Vote to College
This video on the Electoral college for kids is probably considered just as racist as Sambo restaurant ads by now. So rub your Democrat frenemies in the genius of this installment from Schoolhouse Rock.
Ping.
they will have to rewrite that one soon, with all the states pledging to give electoral votes to the winner of the popular vote... states be damned.
This one is from the 1990’s not the 1970’s.
This one is from the 1990’s not the 1970’s.
Two white men candidates? Women cheer leaders?
Oh the left will have a field day with this video.
I cant wait till trump wins the popular vote and 11 leftist states who recently changed their laws to give their votes to the winner of nationwide popular vote will turn their votes over to trump.
Schadenfreude
The Simpsons did a funny parody of Schoolhouse Rock, even got Jack Sheldon to sing it.

I absolutely remember it. My guilty pleasure is watching the first 12 years of the Simpsons. After that they went too far to the left.
"'Cause those liberal freaks go too faaaaar!"
Their best writer was John Schwartzwelder. He was their right/libertarian writer. He is long gone.
It does a very poor job explaining WHY the Founding Fathers wanted to us the EC; to ensure smaller states weren't overwhelmed by larger states.
I have a problem with this snarky line:
'Even if they win by a hair it's still considered fair'.
It sounds to me the writer is mocking the EC.
They probably won’t show the one about the “Great American Melting Pot” anymore, since now it’s a “Tossed Salad”.
Released in 2002, which surprises me. The animation style and overall lack of aggressive wokeness make it seem much older. Apparently it was made in response to the 2000 election.
It contains this line:
'Even if they win by a hair it's still considered fair'.
The person who wrote this was mocking the EC or possibly had the Bush/Gore election in mind.
Well the Democrats certainly would act like they have a “mandate” if they won by a hair.
It wont take effect until there are at least 270 electoral votes accounted for in the group of states.
John Swartzwelder: ‘’They can kill the Kennedys. Why can’t they make a cup of coffee that tastes good?’’
Maybe that’s what they were getting at. Or maybe they were referring to how the electoral college tends to create large margins of victory in the electoral vote even when the (so-called) popular vote margin is small, which I’ve always understood to be one of its virtues.
