Michigan State University informed student employees to refrain from using terms like "I apologize" and "no problem" and addressing customers with gender-specific sir or maam, in a mandatory August training.
MSU Service Center employees witnessed an hour-long Inclusive & Culturally Sensitive Service to Residents & Guests presentation during their mandatory fall training, covering everything from identity wheels and utilizing pronouns to misgendering.

I went online and complimented him for his excellent customer service.

Yeah, I don’t care about all the PC gender crap, but the “No problem!” phrase has ALWAYS struck me as rude.
How about “screw you”? Is that still okay?
As a former taxpayer of the State of Michigan, I can tell you it’s worse than that.

Except for the concerns about “misgendering” and “triggering” most of these suggestions make a lot of sense to me. And I have never liked “no problem.”
A communications course I took said that
you shouldn’t say, “You’re all set,” to
a customer you just served. I still don’t
understand that.
