New York Times executive editor Dean Baquet said that the paper’s focus has shifted from the Russia-Trump collusion theory to Trump’s “character,” while agreeing with staffers that the paper should focus on race in its stories since “race has always played a huge part in the American story.” In a town hall with staffers following its bungled headline about Trump’s response to recent mass shootings, Baquet said the focus has gone “from being a story about whether the Trump campaign had colluded with Russia and obstruction of justice to being a more head-on story about the president’s character.” A recording of the town hall was obtained by Slate. The Times relentlessly pushed the Russia-Trump narrative, which documents, texts, and testimony indicated was started by officials in the Obama administration. Special counsel Robert Mueller punctured the theory earlier this year when his team released its report and said it couldn’t establish collusion between Trump’s campaign and Russia.

Baquet is accidentally letting slip with his TWO YEAR - not 14mo, when Trump goes down in flames - plan that the NYT has conceded the 2020 election.
This is so funny in that it shows how far the Times is out of touch with America.
So the Times actually believes that ‘character’ matters in relation to the President? After Bill Clinton and Barack Obama? Seriously?
Without Obama, Trump would never had been President. Obama proved the Presidency is way bigger that one, stupid, self-absorbed individual. The country survived 8 years of that idiot so I figured Trump couldn’t possibly be worse. That was then when I was luke-warm on Trump.... Now I’m all-in!

Remind us of those who pushed for the Supreme Court ruling on same-sex marriage. Bring to memory those who voted for abortion in the Roe v. Wade decision. Herald names like Rapinoe, Kaepernick and a host of others who have disrespected our flag. Don't let us forget the invective of Hillary calling people "Deplorables" and whover that was who said whites need to be eradicated. Yes, remind us now about something about Trump's character you don't like, be sure and tell us.

If the NYT ever stumbled across an actual fact, would they recognize and report it? This isn’t sarcasm; they are so politicized that every word they choose is selected for political effect. News involving reporting facts is not on their radar.

The list of ways they are trying to get rid of Trump is endless. It will not work.
When you ask someone in the impeach Trump movement why? They look at you and say because he is so bad. So you ask what crime did he commit that is impeachable? The answer is either nonsense or he must be impeached because of who he is.
