Can they get Comey on the Fisa’s?
To: sweetiepiezer
I have no idea. I have come to realize that the “elites” of the deep state can even commit murder and nothing will happen to them. Shoot, the murder can be obvious and it will be ruled a “suicide.” Comey will skate.

Can they get Comey on the Fisas? That's a good thought, sweetie.
And I have heard it on twitter, get this small stuff out of the way and go after Comey on the bigger FISA stuff.
We would be dancing in the streets, wouldn't we, if this happens.

NIKK..I thought I'd share many others opinions...weren't not alone.
The Reckoning 💥
The IG exposes Comey as a self serving political operative unconcerned with the limits of FBI policy.
If you care about @FBI as an institution, you now understands why RodRosenstein advised DonaldTrump to fire Comey. Anyone that argues the alternative is a partisan hack.
The @JusticeOIG did conclude @Comey leaked. They also found no evidence they leaked classified information.
This would be a very bad time to bring a losing prosecution that would be viewed as political vengeance.
Bring winning prosecutions.
VeritasVital
Exactly. They only have one shot at this -- why waste it on a lukewarm, probably unwinnable case (probable doubt everywhere)?
So obnoxious when people throw a fit when things don't go the way they think they should go.

Anyway, this is the same refuse to prosecute information we have had for over a week now.
Bring winning prosecutions.
The Reckoning 💥
It is.
Jeff Carlson
This will not be a popular opinion, but I tend to agree w/not pursuing prosecution of this one particular case.
DOJ thought successful prosecution was questionable. No sure proof of leaking confidential info to media.
FISA investigation far more important & potentially damning.
The Reckoning 💥
Not controversial here.
Its just reality.
Some people resist that.
K J Gillenwater
In comparison to what's coming, this is small potatoes, IMHO. This just gives you a peek behind the curtain that is Comey. Is he self-centered and does things to benefit himself. This will not be the only thing he has done with that in mind.
The Reckoning 💥
And he puts personal calculations over FBI department policy and DOJ hierarchy.
James Comey .... DOJ IG "found no evidence that Comey or his attorneys released any of the classified information contained in any of the memos to members of the media." I dont need a public apology from those who defamed me, but a quick message with a sorry we lied about you would be nice.
Rep. Matt Gaetz
"The responsibility to protect sensitive law enforcement information falls in large part to the employees of the FBI...
Former Director Comey FAILED to live up to this responsibility." -Inspector General Report

He even starts classifying words after the fact.
Probably pissed that Comey took him off the investigation by having a SC come into play.
The Reckoning....OH?

If Durham doesnt bring charges, if Crossfire Hurricane players arent ultimately indicted, our country is indeed lost.
The Reckoning 💥
Its not just about bringing a case.
Its about bringing the right case.

Barr ain't the man for righting the ship. Hell, he's spent most of his career on the side wronging it. FBI is a mafia, the CIA is what it is, DOJ....lol, SEC...another lol. Come on folks, we're no better than Nicaragua, Zambia, etc.....we just have nicer lipstick on.
The Reckoning
We disagree.
Rep. Doug Collins
Todays IG report confirms James Comey violated the FBI's own standards and was dishonest about how he handled classified material. It's time to restore Americans' confidence that federal law enforcement is committed to justice and free from political gamesmanship.

Again, Trump discusses phone calls with foreign countries with Comey. McCabe upclassifies that information in June & refers Comey to the OIG in July!
Zoe Tillman
DOJ's inspector general had harsh words for how James Comey handled his memos detailing his convos with Trump: "Comey set a dangerous example for the over 35,000 current FBI employees ... who similarly have access to or knowledge of non-public information"
The Reckoning 💥
It was a pattern of behavior.
The higher calling thing. Its bad for the proper function of the FBI.
@Comey was a modern day Hoover.

So James Comey was- its official now- a sanctimonious, self-righteous bureaucrat who believed in holding other people to standards that he himself was free to break when he saw fit This should surprise no one.

James Comey speaking to President Trump:
"I don't do sneaky things, I don't leak, I don't."
Firing Comey was in the best interest of National Security. POTUS Trump should be hailed a hero for getting Comey as far away from classified info as possible.
Comey belongs in prison.
Lindsey Graham
This is the first of what I expect will be several more ugly and damning rebukes of senior DOJ and FBI officials regarding their actions and biases toward the Trump campaign of 2016.
The Inspector Generals report is a stunning and unprecedented rebuke of a former Director of the FBI.
