Are you talking about the outer edges of the flower or the red streaks? Either one, I don't see them as straight and pointed.

Its like saying straight brush strokes ..as you say tie die..that's a technique. I'm referring to the visual art ..when I used water color pencils on my last drawing I first used a stroke that resembled a bone because that's what a bloom on a this particular flower looks like. Tie die is usually ink and that is the medium used not the design.

So the material on Melania's dress would be described as a tie die...yes...
