That seems like a reasonable explanation, (one among several). Do you have a theory for why JE’s plane would fly there after his arrest?

Here’s one that occurs to me (kinda crazy, but humor me):

Maybe Antarctica is the location of some sort of dead man’s switch or something similar. Or a storehouse of incriminating data. If they knew that JE’s life was in danger, or that his death was planned, would the DS dispatch someone to Antarctica to destroy evidence or pull the plug on the kill switch or something similar?

Even crazier theory:

If you’re right about the bunkers and if the theories about JE being alive are correct, could he have been flown there that night?

Just spitballing.

My off the wall theory is, that, he was switched when he was in the infirmary after his first suicide attempt. That's the only time he could have been switched.... and then flown to where ever. Whoever was his double, had a wonderful last date. That should compensate him for his troubles.
