If I was his parents his new vehicle would be a used tricycle, the uglier the better.
I worked in a law firm in NYC where one of the junior partners literally threw his birthday gift, a Patek Phillipe watch, back in his mother’s face because it wasn’t the massive gold thing he wanted. He did this in the reception area where there were lots of people. I couldn’t stand to see his mother crying so I left.
It’s not only Indians.
When I grew up in Toronto (huge Indian community) I knew a dozen spoiled brats like this. Total aholes and everyone knew it.

They have such a thing in India called Mahindra Pik Up.
Regular Cab 3/4 truck. The only options are airbags, power brakes and a/c. No automatic transmission. And no, you can’t have power windows too.
Not to mention XJ goes with four banger in India.
