*** “Losing the excess 57 pounds of body fat, well now that will” ***
I’m at 45lbs GONE (8 Months not eating Sugar, Carbs and Veg Oils)... Off all BP MEDS, My Fasting Glucose is normally <85 and I Try to stay under 20 Carbs per day (Keto)
I don’t know if I am Keto but I damn sure am Low Carb < 50 Carbs easy and it Works!
I normally eat 1 meal per day but sometimes I eat a snack (I count it as a meal) of Liverwurst and Hard Cheese. I let my body tell me if I eat 1 or 2 meals.
Yesterday I wanted something “Crunchy” Bacon it is!
Well, congrats
But dam-son. Liverwurst! Gag me!
You brought back the memory of the 1st way I made any $$. Battling wasps to harvest currants. It was touch and go, but I didn’t get stung.
What surprised me - “I’m only hungry when I eat”; what I mean by that I can fast for 24 hours and not be particularly hungry. This is my routine, 24 hour fast every day. Part of the time I’m hungry, yes. Not what I thought it must be like. Most of the time not at all.
But when I was eating 3 squares a day, snacking, that made me hungry all the time! It’s those glucose blood sugar swings. Like pouring gasoline on the fire. It’s boom and bust.
The next thing that surprised me was just how many calories are in the foods we eat. Peanut Butter is about 90 calories per tablespoon.
So what I used to consider basically a snack - a peanut butter sandwich, tall glass of milk, and a small handful of chips - is 1,040 calories!
It’s a tough sell to tell people they can only eat a peanut butter sandwich today if they want to achieve any meaningful weight loss in a reasonable time period. Tonite I might make a Reuben sandwich. Maybe a hamburger.
