Obese people eat more food because it simply tastes better, a new study has found.
Researchers at the University of Iowa gave chocolate to a group of obese and non-obese women and found that as the obese group kept eating the food continued to taste almost as good to them as the first bite.
The findings suggest that understanding taste perceptions may be crucial to preventing obesity when combined with targeting nutritional awareness.
If people with obesity have different taste perceptions than nonobese people, it could lead to better understanding of obesity, lead investigator Linnea Polgreen noted, according to News Medical.

That’s me too. I like to have a beer or glass of wine with some foods, or an occasional shot of scotch to SIP, but that’s about it.

I’m 5’2”/126#-130# most of my life. I love things like biscuits and homemade gravy and I am a great cook.
I’ve discovered that I am full about 20” after eating nearly the same amount as my 5’11” 180# husband. So, I have a cup of coffee and eat nothing else after dinner (at 7-8 pm) most days. He will always have a snack before bed.
He keeps his weight down with long hikes and physical labor.
I also firmly believe that keeping the house at 60 degrees in the winter and not using a/c until the room temp is 83 in the summer is part of our weight maintenance. The cold in winter forces metabolic action from the brown fat and the heat/humidity in summer kills appetite for more than a cold salad.
I am 76 and he is 68. We were both chubby kids. I am fairly inactive except for about 3 hours a day standing and walking short distances during work. His nickname is Snackmaster.
which came first, the chicken or the fries?
Yes the obese love Food and hate Mirrors!-)
If that were the truth then the food channel would be #1 and the porn industry would be out of business:-)
I’ve cut bread and pasta almost completely out and I appear to have lost some about the waist.
There was a professional eater who ate THREE Big Texan meals. And she did it in about 20 minutes.
And she weighed 120 lbs.

The good news is we’ll never be alcoholics... the bad news is we’ll never have the bar fun pre-alcoholics have...
I guess I am a Semi Pro eater! LOL
