getting more in Alaska, too.
Didn’t mean to “hoard” the info.
Here is the map I’m looking at. Easy to read/interpret.
https://earthquake.usgs.gov/earthquakes/map/
I’ve got it zoomed out so I can see Japan on the left edge and Haiti/Dr on the right. So it’s easy to see new activity in the “flow” path that dutchsinse was talking about. Easy to zoom in to just focus on SoCal if that’s of interest.
Interestingly, a couple of days ago (pre-quake) I was listening to a recent Freakonomics podcast (Episode 380 “Notes from and Imperfect Paradise” - “tell me something I don’t know”, mostly boring IMO) and they had the earthquake expert on it that dutchsinse was complaining about. At least I think it was the same one. Lucy Something-or-other. What a coinkydink.
What’s got me nervous is the how what’s going on might translate west to the White Wolf and Kern Gorge faults and the Lake Isabella Dam.
A lot of snow pack in the Sierras this winter and that lake is fair full.
