I don’t feel I’ve gotten a straight answer from the media about this case. To kill and injure this many people, the perp must have crossed the line and plowed straight into the bikers without trying to avoid them. Was he speeding? Was he high? What’s the story?
Push this guy out an airlock.
The victims of Friday's crash. Top row, left to right: Michael Ferazzi, Albert Mazza, Daniel Pereira. Bottom row, left to right: Joanne and Edward Corr, Desma Oakes, Aaron Perry. (New Hampshire Office of the Attorney General)
One eyewitness account says the trailer jack-knifed and crossed the solid yellow lines and took out the motorcyclists. I would bet that something like that happened.
A true nightmare come to life.
God bless those dead and their families.
“...was arrested on a fugitive from justice charge...”
Help me out here. Does this mean that the suspect knew there was an arrest order out for him and he decided to bolt?
And any word on if the perp is a citizen?
another loser with a driver's license. Hey, let's give illegal aliens driver's licenses too!
“Volodymyr Zhukovskyy”
I’m thinking vodka may’ve been involved...da, Comrade?
The double-Y at the end of his surname suggests he’s probably Ukrainian.
wasnt it a Russian/Ukrainian company and driver that killed about 21 people in a limousine crash early this year? Again in MA or NH? Cant look it up right now.
Thats the problem with motorcycles. If the other guys an idiot, YOU die. I just dont trust others enough to put myself in that position.
Does anyone know if these folks rode to Washington a couple of weeks ago, and could the truck driver have targeted them for that fact?
Is he in the country legally or illegally? Certainly not a common name found in many places around America.
Oh, man. I am retired now, but a few years ago I worked on a similar case involving a Russian driver who killed several people; he was inattentive and ran his rig into a line of cars on the highway. Bad shit.
A lawyer for the driver of a pickup truck in a crash that killed seven motorcyclists in New Hampshire says his client denies being intoxicated when he was charged with drunken driving in Connecticut last month.
Volodymyr Zhukovskyy was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs on May 11 in a Walmart parking lot in East Windsor, Connecticut.
Connecticut prosecutors say he was arrested May 11 in an East Windsor Walmart parking lot after failing a sobriety test. Officers had responded to a complaint about a man who was revving his truck engine and jumping up and down outside the vehicle.
Additionally, Zhukovskyy was arrested on a drunken driving charge in 2013 in Westfield, Massachusetts, state motor vehicle records show. He was placed on probation for one year and had his license suspended for 210 days, The Westfield News reported.
Russkie?
Driver In Randolph, NH Crash That Killed 7 Motorcyclists Set To Face Judge
Perp has a history of driving while impaired. Looks like state/s did nothing about the perp and/or perp's employer. And if the perp's an illegal with a record...
