One can be as tolerant, as anyone wishes of other peoples' consensual behavior; by no reasoned implication can one justify bragging about not being involved in the dynamic quests that determine the future of any tribe, community or nation. The opt out may be the result of many things. That does not make it a reasonable basis for public celebration.
Communism is in many ways far more socially conservative than the New Left today is. Homosexuality was always considered a “bourgeois” and decadent antisocial behavior in Communist States.
Trump is a New Yorker, keep in mind. I’m with Trump, I don’t really care what gays do. However, the embassy should not fly the pride flag. If they do, should they fly the black power flag? You get my point.
I find no evidence that DJT wanted Don't Ask Don't Tell repealed.

I was at my local Wells Fargo ATM this afternoon, minding my business until THEIR message on my little screen : WE WOULD LIKE TO TAKE THE OPPORTUNITY TO EXPRESS OUR PRIDE IN OUR SENIOR LBGT DIVERSITY. WE TAKE PRIDE IN OUR SUPPORT OF OUR SENIOR CITIZENS.

They’ve had programming - Madison sq garden
had a vignette about some dopey girl who thinks she’s a boy
playing hockey
They’ve had subliminal ads - BMW has a fleeting
male on male kiss in a series of smooching lovers
The last straw for me was Sephora ostensibly a women’s shop
extolling the virtue of boys dressing up as women and
playing with makeup on Sportsnet NY, a sports channel 2
of the last 3 nights
I called live and said, nicely but firmly, Not only don’t i agree with the normalization and blind acceptance
of sexual identity disorders I don’t want to pay for it or see it.
I don’t have or want an ad blocker for tv and kids tuning into sports
Broadcast by this channel (a Comcast subsidiary, figures) do not need to have everything sexualized especially “trans” abnormalities presented
as normal and acceptable. I said the next time I see this ad
