MC Networks announced Thursday that it would join a growing number of media companies threatening to pull investments or projects in Georgia over the state's new anti-abortion law that goes into effect next year.
A spokesperson for the network, which has invested heavily in production facilities in the state, including for the network's hit series "The Walking Dead," told Variety the company would "reevaluate" its productions in the state if the new law survives legal challenges filed by abortion rights advocates.
If this highly restrictive legislation goes into effect, we will reevaluate our activity in Georgia. Similar bills some even more restrictive have passed in multiple states and have been challenged," the spokesperson told Variety. "This is likely to be a long and complicated fight and we are watching it all very closely."

The only way to stop this is for the Red States to get together in a common front and ban and pass laws to restrict any company that engages in these types of political boycott’s. If they won’t do business with Red States, the Red States should not do business with them. This is a civil war but only one side is shooting.
“we will reevalute,” and if it costs them any money then they will not move.
F——AMC!
So AMC wants more dead black babies in Georgia.
Noted.
Fascist
A pandering useless comment. They cant film walking dead anywhere else
When New York said they were going to allow murder of full term babies in the delivery room not one Hollywood production group or any prominent actor said boo. They are monsters.
Thank you Lord Jesus Christ! Amen.
Imagine the Marxists threatening to leave a red state for not embracing their atheistic ideology and they act like Georgians should be upset about that?
Again, thank you Lord Jesus Christ! Amen.
Y’all vowed to leave the country, too.
I have a feeling that when this is all over, we are going to have at least one state that is Traditional and worthy of being an example of a fine state in which to live and prosper.
GO GEORGIA!!!!!!
Go ahead. As more and more States follow the desires of the people to protect life you will end up only working in New York and California. Have fun with all those taxes and restrictions you will find there!
Wonder if AMC is really pulling an Amazon and is just trying to screw more tax incentives out of GA...?
Note to GA: Just because you can buy ‘em doesn’t mean they stay bought. Get out of the frickin’ bribery biz.
Well.... Bye!!!!
Walking Dead is way past its sell-by date anyway.
Good idea.
You have to remember that OH, LA, and MO essentially have heartbeat bills, that AL has strong anti-abortion laws, and that MI and IA have totally dropped all film credits.
So that’s seven states taken out of film consideration right away. Alaska, Idaho, Washington, Montana, Wyoming, the Dakotas, Maine, Vermont, New Hampshire, and Minnesota are all too desolate or too cold for much of the year for filming, and while I could be wrong, I don’t think any of them have subsidies. WV doesn’t have great film subsidies. Neither do KY or TN or AR.
Nebraska? Cold and flat. IL and NY are good for urban shooting, but are union states. HA is ok, but incredibly expensive.
That basically leaves OR (too wet and overcast), AZ, NM, TX, MS, FL, VA, DE, MD, and RI.
NM has been ok for filming TV series (”Breaking Bad,” “In Plain Sight,” and parts of “Sicario”), but lacks the big city presence to do urban scenes. AZ has no film credits. RI, DE and MS are not urban enough and the first two are union states.
When you get right down to it, the states with good shooting weather, a variety of cities and space, and non-union workforces are scarce. Throw on top of that the need for film subsidies?
Good luck.
Confuzzled - What does entertainment / watching a movie have to do with the willful and intentional murder of a child?
Answer - Nothing!
