Owner of ‘crazy’ raccoon dog terrifying village wants it back: It's not ‘especially dangerous’

The owner of two raccoon dogs is hoping for the safe return of his animals — which he argues aren't the menacing creatures some are making them out to be.

One of the two escaped creatures was seen terrorizing residents and their pets in the U.K. village of Clarborough in Nottinghamshire earlier this week, SWNS reported.

However, the owner of the raccoon dogs told the BBC he “just wants them back safe.”

"They have escaped and that is my mistake but it's important people don't think these animals are especially dangerous," the owner, who wished to remain anonymous, told the news station.

He said the animals only eat insects, small animals and berries.

I do, but I have a long history with the maneki-neko. I’ve been collecting them for 20 years.

Some dog owners also seem to believe that, if their dog DOES try to attack you, then it is obviously your fault. For hating dogs, I guess.

I don’t hate dogs. I’m cautious about dogs but I don’t hate them. I do hate being told that a dog is harmless and won’t bite when the dog clearly has other ideas.

Cassie the Cassoway is thinking:
“Keep staring at me like that, I’ll peck your eyes out and feed ‘em to you for dinner! Think I won’t? Try me!”
Cassie doesn’t have a lot of friends.

As Lady Di aged into the early teens, she slept much more than she had as a young dog & Molly [the baby female raccoon] discovered that the top of a “snoozing Lady Di” made a wonderful place for a siesta.

If you can find the photos and know how to, post a few here.

Thanks. :)

OK. - The next time that I go to my late mother’s home (My “kid” sister now lives there.), I’ll dig out my scrapbooks & get Darla to post the photos. = Fyi, Lady Di was a “sound sleeper”, as was Molly. = BOTH were REALLY GOOD at “sacking out” & sleeping soundly in front of our fireplace.
(Btw, taking GOOD quality photos of a solid black dog & a black & silver coon isn’t easy for novice photographers like me. - Several “shots”came out as “blobs”.)

Yours, TMN78247
