Paris City Hall wants to name a small plaza after Princess Diana, at the site of the 1997 car crash that killed the cherished British royal.
The site already holds a golden flame-shaped monument in her honor, adjacent to the Alma Tunnel where the accident occurred.
The plaza is currently named after opera singer Maria Callas.

Odd for France to make a park commemorating an aristocrat, who became a royal, and bailed to run around with a camel jockey.
But hey, that’s just me.
I would say NO because they will just want to tear it down in 100 years.
They’ve gone through five republics so far. They don’t seem to get republics right, so why be consistent here?

Please. Just because she was beautiful and married to “royalty” is not a reason for that. How about Charles Martel square, the man who conquered m*slim invaders?
I remember being on a plane flight once and noticed someone reading Di’s biography. This was before her death. I could not imagine why someone would waste time reading an entire book about such and unimportant yet overrated person.
