This confuses me because the constitution says a president can only be impeached for Treason, Bribery, or other high Crimes and Misdemeanors. The last time I checked shaving doesn’t qualify.
Andrew Nohnson had not broken any laws. He was impeached because he wanted to follow Lincolns plan of gentle reunification. The bloody flag Republicans wanted punishment. The end result was a neutering Of Johnson and the decades of hatred between north and south that still exists to a degree today.
Bad shaving is a misdemeanor.

As others of noted, the House can impeach for any old reason. But they’ll need to cover their actions with some sort of explanation. The key is the phrase “High Crimes”. Such crimes include abuse of authority and dereliction of duty.
The House will go that route. It will be 100% repugnant and 100% constitutional.

Define “high crimes and misdemeanors “. I know, you can’t define that. Whomever is in charge of congress can and will define that in Ny manner they deem politically survivable.
