Hi Mears! Actually in the 60s and 70s I regularly wore 3-4” heels.. various widths but narrow in general. Still did in 80s as a real estate broker.. And a special fella liked red 4” in the PM (wink)

And she will definitely have problems either with her feet or her back as the years wear on - no getting around it! Years ago, women my age wore heels to work but our heels were never 3” and we didn’t escape back problems.
I’ll bet she has problems already with her feet but she wouldn’t be able to stop wearing shoes like that without a lot of controversy so she’ll suffer through it.
And NO BOOB BELT.....just a normal, sensible belt!!

My first impression of SoCal in 1984 was high heel shoes worn with short-shorts by every other girl on the street. My hopes dimmed considerably when I saw their license plate holders saying, “Yes, I do. But not with you.”
Actually I knew someone who had about 30+ pairs of those shoes, all were silk, and all had those heels. Not one of them had ever been worn outside her boudoir.

Love the dress. The high heels are a foot torturing joke, but if she likes them whatever.
This look for a first family was atrocious and shocking at the time and it still is.
