CNN)Last week, Alabama passed the most restrictive abortion law in the country. In addition to banning nearly all abortions except in cases where the pregnancy poses a serious health risk to the mother, doctors who perform the procedure can be convicted of a felony and jailed for life.
The law has yet to go into effect, and politicians have explicitly stated their desire for legal challenges to make it up to the Supreme Court as part of a long-standing effort to overturn Roe v. Wade. And given the bench's conservative slant after Justices Neil Gorsuch and Brett Kavanaugh's confirmations under President Donald Trump, that may be a real possibility.
Where does Trump stand on abortion? After years of saying he was pro-choice, Trump changed his tune when he decided to run for President. It's useful to revisit a long-forgotten town hall from March 2016, when then-candidate Trump told MSNBC's Chris Matthews he was pro-life. When pressed on what the law should be, Trump said, "The answer is that there has to be some form of punishment." Matthews tried to clarify, saying, "For the woman," to which Trump responded, "Yeah, there has to be some form."
Days later, Trump tried to walk back his comments in an interview with New York Times columnist Maureen Dowd, saying he was answering Matthews' questions hypothetically. She wrote, "Given his draconian comment, sending women back to back alleys, I had to ask: When he was a swinging bachelor in Manhattan, was he ever involved with anyone who had an abortion?" Trump's response? "Such an interesting question. So what's your next question?"

As exemplified by Trump having to drop out of the 2016 election.
You'd imagine that maybe CNN might contemplate that there's another result... Nahh, they're the bubble boy/girl/QWERTY of the 2010’s.
As will women who don’t support infanticide. Screw CNN.
How long until someone slams down that Gloria Steinem quote: “If men could get pregnant, abortion would be a sacrament”? :P
A woman cannot have an abortion without a man.
Therefore a man should (and must) have a voice in the matter.
Can anyone describe a medical scenairo whereby an abortion would be required to save a womans life?
With C sections and induced labor etc, how at 3rd trimester is killing the baby ever necessary? Just asking....
Heres an embarrassing question to ask Democrats: Can you show us the paragraph in the Constitution giving anyone, male or female, the right to kill babies?
Wombs are not for raising mushrooms. There are live human babies there.
It’s not. Yes they can induce labor and save the mom and possibly the baby as well.
Men are constantly told if they want 100% protection from the risk of being held responsible for child, they simply need to (say it with me...) “keep their pants zipped up”
Women on the other hand insist that they possess a right to a sex life without incurring the risk of creating a baby.
Only women have a supposed right to a sex life with zero parental risk. A male is told sex always comes with that risk and he gets no say.
Lets have some equality.
Half the babies murdrmered in abotuaries are male.
Men have a stake in the issue.
Rights? There are no abortion rights.
How about “Women politicians who favor murdering unborn humans face some uncomfortable questions” instead?
Lets have some equality.

Indeed. I’d almost enjoy seeing men given the RIGHT to demand that women abort their off-spring - just to see how the Nazi-like left would respond to THAT.
They wont have to answer those questions in the politically correct world we live in now but in the hereafter I imagine it will be a different story.
It sure seems women have made abortion a sacrament.
No need to hypothesize about men making it one.
Women actually have made abortion a sacrament, and a state-subsidized one at that.
> Male politicians who oppose abortion rights are going to face some uncomfortable questions <
175 years ago that headline would have read:
“Northern politicians who oppose slavery rights are going to face some uncomfortable questions”
It's somewhat less than half. Some are done because the child is the correct sex to pass on the family name (especially in a certain country that only allows one.)
Wasn’t Lockhart one of the Bam’s spokesliars?
“abortion rights” = Infanticide rights
