Good idea if you weren't fighting someone who could raise the dead.
Yeah, obvious foreshadowing is obvi
I thought they could only raise the dead they KILLED, like a zombie virus only resurrecting the infected but unable to alter someone dead the week before of influenza.
Referring to Billy Crystal in “The Princess Bride”:
Can the NK raise the fully mouldered, long-totally-dead? Or, only the recently, mostly dead?
All Billy Crystal said you could do with the totally dead was got through their pockets for spare change.

Here is a plan. Get every man, woman and child the truck out of Dodge!! Get them to Dragonstone and give the Army of the Dead a clear
shot at Cersi. Let’s see her then BEG for help. Willing to bet the hired Mercs ain’t staying around to face that crazy town.
I know it’s a show but when I follow these things and there are such glaring “wait!!” kind of holes in the plot, it bothers me.
I vote Tyrion Lannister for the winner of the iron throne. I’m sure he won’t be a half hearted king.

The waiting is excruciating! I have no predictions, only mounting anxiety to see how this plays out tonight. I do suspect there will be some shocking deaths among the ‘safe’ group - it IS GoT after all.
The Crypts, as full as they are with corpses are of course VERY SAFE.
So I’m gonna go with Missandei dying instead of Grey Worm (only one will die so the other can be sad).
I also predict Jorah and Gendry survive.
Thoros bites it after giving his the kiss of life to someone else.
Someone still needs to torch Kings Landing and the Red Keep.
Whoever blows the Horn of Winter might die too. Samwell Tarly has it. It should do something. Maybe raise the Kings of Winter from the crypts.
Someone/thing has to ride to the rescue when all seems lost. Maybe Melisandre arrives with the Fiery Hand, all wielding flaming swords.
Familiar characters will probably be raised as wights, and have to be put down by friends.
How about some dragon on dragon aerial dogfighting?
How about Hot Pie? How will his character arc be wrapped up?
