Well it has had the unintended effect of convincing me that I have to support the protection of gays law. I was planning on being against it because I didn’t think they needed any special protection. Now I see I was wrong. So I guess the discussion was worthwhile.

I think the most likely scenario is that at some point during Mueller's Reign of Terror, Trump and his people got the goods on RR, maybe through the IG, maybe through the same people working with Q. He was given a choice, to cooperate in destruction of the "renegades" who turned the DOJ into a Stasi, or spend a long time in prison. No one has the right to judge another’s salvation experience. The key is Yeshua’s own words, “Go and sin no more.”
Once an individual starts to promote sin, and demand that others accept that sin as acceptable or normal, he or she calls G_d a liar. That is true whether a thief, a rapist, a murderer, an adulterer, a lesbian, or a homosexual.
People sin without knowing what G_d demands, but those who keep on sinning, once His Word is know, despite G-d’s Grace, will eventually stand at the judgement seat. One hopes they can plead the shed blood for their sins. Unfortunately, those who not only sin, but promote sin, usually have seared consciences, and will not do so.

This is my take on the issue. There is no doubt that homosexual acts are condemned in the Bible, as are other forms of deviant sexual behaviors.
You are right that we are not called to judge sinners, for that belongs to God.
I think we are expected to call out these sinful behaviors, and with politeness, explain to a sinner that we want all to be saved, and their souls are at risk. We are not to approve or accept it in any fashion.
Perhaps we should follow the example set by Jesus, and suggest in a loving way that they should go and sin no more, lest they be judged by God.
We are not to throw stones.
