I’m not qualified to judge the sins. Thannk God He’s there to do that. I wouldn’t even begin to be good enough to declare sins...but I do make a pretty good basketball ref! See where I;m going here?

God has said it is an abomination...God is a truth teller...I believe God. Believe God has asked us to decern based on our knowledge of his truth. Basketball analogy didn’t work for me Blu.

I am qualified to ref a basketball game in the driveway, with players who are shorter than me, or afraid of me. Doing (wo)man's work. God is qualified to judge sins. I take care of my driveway, God takes care of US all.

It would seem we have a biblical impasse regarding quotes. I quoted from the KJV, even tho us Catholics have a different bible. I chose KJV because I figured it's more common, more religions use it. So, that's where my quote about loving one another comes from. Not quite sure how that qualifies as "cherry picking" - which I don't think you said.

Anyhoo would you mind sharing your cite for the abomination reference? TIA Oh and btw, my parish church agrees with you, despite Rome's blah blah blah. I just happen to disagree with our priest in this instance. Different parishes get different messages from their priests.Certainly not the only time we disagree. BUT...I also vehemently disagree with Rome's and Frankie's position on this. THAT is the abomination!
