We don’t know what steps the feds and even some states have taken to ensure clean elections, other than what has made it into the news. And quite a bit has gotten into the news.
I assume that a lot of what the feds have done is so far under the radar.

I also have a suspicion that the feds don’t want to let the bad states know exactly what measures they have planned until it’s too late for the bad states to find alternate methods of stealing elections.
