God is capable of anything. There are times when we hope He will find it reasoned to help our loved one’s lives be extended. I hope this will be such a time.

Thank you for that prayer, Doughty. The Creator is indeed capable of delivering miracles. I've seen them firsthand, and pray that I am worthy of such benevolence now.

You're one of my faves, bud. Don't ever underestimate the value of your contributions to this community.

In instances when praying for FReepers in need, I try to give it thought and respond wisely if possible. I want to say something others won’t.

I pray more earnestly than if it were for me. I try to ask very little today, other than for Him to help me grow.

In the overall scheme of things, we have to see the wages of Sin on humanity. If I have to die a wretched death, God’s creatures from other worlds will see what results from sin entering a world. It’s the ultimate witness.

Does every human have to succumb to this rule of thumb? In all honestly, no, I don’t think so. There is hope for each of us. There is hope for you, here and now. If it doesn’t play out that way...

He is there for us, no matter what. We have his assurance.

If you look at the history of humanity, we live very privileged lives comparatively. When we do die, we are comforted and given help to ease our burden.

I look at how people die in Africa and other places around the world. With that in mind, I find it hard to ask for mercy, more than what serves God’s purpose as it relates to salvation and His justification.

For others, it’s so much more compelling to do so.

Into His hands I commit both of us.

You know I wish the very best for you.
