Nah...I just thought your appetite might improve and the hope to get in the outdoors once again was better than flowers. But I love river fish on a campfire grill and I suspect you do too!

Oh yes take the protein twice daily for sure. I’ve done this for years and i can tell you when I don’t take it for a couple days I can easily feel the difference in my stamina.

Read the foxfire books while you are down, they will make you want to get up.

Heck Firefox books will teach you to make a rifle, but first we must make a bellows and a lathe

In instances when praying for FReepers in need, I try to give it thought and respond wisely if possible. I want to say something others won’t.

I pray more earnestly than if it were for me. I try to ask very little today, other than for Him to help me grow.

In the overall scheme of things, we have to see the wages of Sin on humanity. If I have to die a wretched death, God’s creatures from other worlds will see what results from sin entering a world. It’s the ultimate witness.

Does every human have to succumb to this rule of thumb? In all honestly, no, I don’t think so. There is hope for each of us. There is hope for you, here and now. If it doesn’t play out that way...

He is there for us, no matter what. We have his assurance.

If you look at the history of humanity, we live very privileged lives comparatively. When we do die, we are comforted and given help to ease our burden.

I look at how people die in Africa and other places around the world. With that in mind, I find it hard to ask for mercy, more than what serves God’s purpose as it relates to salvation and His justification.

For others, it’s so much more compelling to do so.

Into His hands I commit both of us.

You know I wish the very best for you.

Cutest boy on the block❗️Mother is gorgeous and proud as punch with the sweetest bunch of babies. All So HAPPY! Can’t believe how the little one is as tall as you! YOU did Good! Thank you so Much, Windflier! More. More! I’m in Forney at the moment. Came down on Thursday to spend Easter with son and granddaughter. We attended an old Traditional Catholic Mass in Tyler, on Sunday. This weekend we caravan to Oklahoma where I was raised to go to the Waynoka Rattle Snake Hunt celebration on the square. Kids will return on Sunday and I will leave on Monday for Amarillo. I know you guys are down here around Dallas somewhere. Would love to see you and hug your neck and kiss the kiddos and momma, but I’m sure your pooped out and I’m leaving in the morning for the snake measuring! So good to hear from you! Stay in touch and prayers up for your comfort and a great measure of joy with your darling family! Chin up and eat your danged porridge❗️ Love to you All, Rita 😘

Beautiful family. :-)

If that photo was taken in 2006, then your kids are still pretty young - right? - with the youngest in the teens?

Praying for your family and for a complete recovery for you.

I fought the big-C 8 years ago in my mid-40’s when my youngest was 9. It was caught just as it started to spread. Hoping for a miracle for you.

Prayers up my friend.

Lord, please bring healing to Windflier. Comfort his family.
In Jesus name I pray.

“By His Stripes We Are Healed” Isaiah 53:4-5

Keep the faith, my friend. I have survived 3 bouts of cancer, prostate once and lung twice, all thanks and glory be to God.

Yes, the baby is fourteen now. The rest are in their twenties.

I'll see what I can do to scrounge up some more recent photos.

Thank you for the encouragement.

💝 Rita 💝

Forney is just down the road from us. Would have been nice to get a quick hug and a chat as you were passing through, but that's ok. It's the thought that counts.

I plan on being around for some time to come, so no guilt! We'll catch up at the next big FR gathering 😁
