There are two or three good sites for educating people about cults. I found another good one from Australia or something. I’ll have to dig that link up. I linked to that one months ago before I started the NXIVM ping list.
I frequently link to FrankReport.com because Frank Parlato is one of the only ones providing timely news on the case. He was an employee for time, worked as a public relations advisor, maybe 6 or 8 years ago, for Raniere and Bronfman.
After a few months, he figured out that they were doing all sorts of illegal stuff related to money laundering and tax evasion and he quit. As soon as that happened, Bronfman unleashed her lawyers to try and destroy him.
After that, he determined to destroy them. A little dish served cold, apparently.
I think Dr. Porter’s sick experiments (showing unwitting women snuff films, Mexican cartel videos of raping/torturing/decapitating women like the young lady viewers of his sick stuff). Porter is a sick individual. He was playing out his own demonic fetishes doing these things in the name of medicine.

Needs to be investigated.

There is an article from UK Daily Mail from August 1, 2011 with a picture showing the statues. I'm speculating that both the island and the hotel had copies of the statues. I can't tell what the medium of the sculptures are, but sometimes artists will make one and then duplicate it for a limited number of times, thereby increasing their income and yet making the limited run small enough to appeal to investors.
I have not found an article on history of the statues themselves yet.
