The Left can only accept cathedrals as places of “art and architecture” and not as religious institutions. That statement was written for her by an agnostic or atheistic person using politically correct code.

The fact that she tried to sound sympathetic at all, and wasn’t ululating and praising the will of Allah for this triumph over our false faith, is probably due to the spotlight on her.
People with her beliefs are NEVER going to “assimilate” with us = they consider us morally inferior at best and inhuman at worse. There is no realistic way she “represents” nonmuslims anymore than a wolf represents a flock of sheep.
To her, and all Mooslims, Christian or other religions beliefs, places of worship, and members are an abomination to Allah. She can't and she won't refer to it in its religious context.
Until the West gets this very basic principle we have no chance of survival.
