And other fellow middle class citizens are getting screwed. And we lost the House. And there is an Election in less than 2 years.

But Good For You!

My taxes went down considerably as well. I think the problem with this issue is that the people that live in extremely high tax states have lost some of the subsidy that those of us in flyover country have never enjoyed - a subsidy in the form of deducting state/local taxes that in effect forces us to pay more because we aren't being smothered as badly on the state and local level as they are.

The correct solution isn't to blame Trump or the federal government - the solution is to fix their own state's taxing policy. Why does it cost so much more to live in, say, New York state or Ohio compared to Georgia, Florida, or Tennessee?

Well, we won't pay as much in Federal, and business is way better since Obama left. I think our state taxes will be about the same. Construction is way up, which is good for us.

( On another note, our dem mayor pushed through a sales tax increase of 1%, making sales tax here 10%. "We’ve gone 13 years with not one hint of corruption and the city’s last sales tax increase was Oct. 10, 1991.”

As if we are operating at the same revenue levels we were in 1991. SMH)
