In the weeks since Felicity Huffman and Lori Loughlin were named in the high-profile college admissions cheating scandal, they have been working with their legal teams to determine what their next move should be. Huffman agreed to plead guilty on Monday, saying, I am in full acceptance of my guilt, and with deep regret and shame over what I have done, I accept full responsibility for my actions and will accept the consequences that stem from those actions.

The kids were in on Emails.
The colleges HAD to know what was going on......depends on what they did to facilitate the admissions fraud.
Falsifying documents might do it.....
But just “looking the other way” would be hard to prosecute
“Too pretty and famous to go to jail.”
You left out arrogant.
OJ got off.
Think of it in context of the “two-tiered justice system.”
The rich white people have to go to jail to take the attention off the hoaxter Mullett so that it “appears” that there is the rule of law. She is being made an example of-—and what she did was wrong, and yes she should pay. Thank you for that explanation. I was having some issues connecting the dots as to how this was illegal, and that helped immensely!

BUMP for later reading.
I don’t believe she is the “poster girl” for the situation. Although she might be the best-known of the individuals charged, she is not a huge star. I don’t consume tabloids so don’t know her representation there. However, what she has actually done to be charged with crimes speaks to her real values. Cheat and bribe to get her daughters into big-name schools. Teach her daughters that’s how to get ahead in life. Some “family values” she actually practices. Would her crimes be any less if she were not a celebrity? No. It’s only our celebrity besotted culture that makes her a sympathetic figure in your eyes.
One of the problems I have with this story is that it is not clear to me what was illegal vs simply unethical.
Duh paying money to a phoney charity and taking a tax deduction for it is illegal.
You two continue to misinterpret .......
......so.....whatever
Oh my goodness....THANK YOU LS!!!!!!

Just before they tarred and feathered them.
That being said, your point is true.
Wow. Didn’t think about all that
Makes me wonder how Jr. got FOUR mistrials.
They didn’t go for a 5th.
I don’t think they saw an exploding minority group backed by MANY bleeding heart whites who would in essence destroy them and not help them.
How crowded and backlogged are America’s courts without blacks in the system?
I don’t know lol
But in NYC, 1 out of 10 at Rikers are white
