In the morning when I show up, she sits with her coffee, entranced in front of the TV, dutifully watching the news.

Not knowing her situation this may be her “company”. Is there a conservative radio show you could plug her into? Sometimes it is just the habit of hearing the familiar each day.

I’ve spoken to her about several outlets she could trust via pod cast and YT. She doesn’t want to change.

During the broadcast, I’ll show her where bias exists or where things I’ve told her are actually true. Again, she is amazed but, that won’t change her mind. She says this is the only outlet that gives her local news.

When I tell her that local news is less than 10% of the broadcast, it just doesn’t register.

I think there are millions like her out there who won’t believe a single thing, even when they actually happen.

And, this isn’t attributable to age. Many milleniala are like this. Their phone is their life but MSNBC and Colbert are their news.

Even my wife, when shown photos that are difficult to believe says that they are ‘shopped or mashed-up/CGI videos.

That is why I intend to spend the most difficult days fishing. I’m getting my BIL aware so we can go together and clean up the splody-head goo when we get home.

Maybe a Canada trip?

Is the familiar habit or comfort or a comfortable habit?

I recall Good Morning America back in the 70’s with David Hartman. It was a show that, no matter where my travels found me, I was brought home each morning by GMA. It was a very down home show back in the day and I found it comforting to watch.

Having said that...I hung on to GMA for a long time because the comfort formed a habit...until Joan Lunden finally left and then like Tarzan catching another vine, I moved to Fox and Friends. Then, Fox and Friends expelled their one conservative...

I know I’m rambling, but I’m not sure how to say this. It’s hard to give up a show you have trusted...to understand that, well, you had nothing to trust after all..
