Winston Churchill said, "In war-time, truth is so precious that she should always be attended by a bodyguard of lies." Not all wars are fought in the open. Evil exists in this world and oft time it must be fought out of sight of the public to protect them.
It is always more important to protect the innocent than punish the wicked. That doesn't mean that the wicked go unpunished. It may mean that the punishment takes place out of the public's sight.
Absence of evidence is not evidence of absence. Just because you don't see things being done doesn't mean that things aren't being done. Yes, it can be frustrating.
Don't be too quick to demand to see how the sausage is made or how Justice is served. Know that, starting at the top, we have many good men and women willing to put their lives on the line to see that Justice is served, the wicked are punished, and the innocent are protected.
They are our sheepdogs. I spent most of my adult life as a hidden, silent sheepdog keeping watch. Now I am old sheep. That doesn't mean that I wouldn't become a sheepdog again in a second if needs be. Failing that I will enjoy my best and brightest corner of the American garden. Wanna guess what will come from that?
We already know this pattern as we’ve been here before.
“While you and Grimmy may be able to handle seeing the corruption, there are far too many in our society that can’t handle it. As I wrote in #6 of the FAQ at the top of the thread: “
Thanks Lone Palm. A good reminder that a lot of good work is done out of sight and should be!
I question Lord Churchill on that point. I concede its necessity in war time but it is way too much like absolute power. I’m not so sure he was the ‘good guy’ he was all cracked up to be.
That's the 60%, will happen but we may not know the targets or the results. That is the mold cleanup.
