The purpose of WWII was for Germany to conquer at least a significant part of the land to their east, and wipe out the Bolsheviks whom Hitler (rightly) believed sought to capture Germany.
A secondary goal was to rid Europe of Jews, whom he equated to Bolsheviks. (It is true that many Jews in Germany were associated with the Marxist oriented parties. Many German cities were already ruled by "Soviets" in the '20s when Hitler began his rise to power.)
It's all in Mein Kampf, and supported by all the facts of history.

Your answer and mention of Mein Kampf is a good one although I wouldn’t go so far as to declare the anon answer as an attack on Q.
I think more likely with respect to this particular question your labeling the anon as ignorant is closer to the truth. Many of this anon’s answers to other questions are pretty good.

There is a school of thought that a group of influential Jewish individuals approached Churchill and said that if Churchill would grant them Palestine after the war, they could get the USA to step in. The Jews had declared war on the German Reich long before the German people began to react to them. They owned 50% of the wealth and 100% of the media despite being only 2% of the population.
